 How is the area?
The great majority of apartments is located in the old part of the city. Barcelona, like most of historical cities, has an old area filled with alleys in which you will not be tired of taking a walk. However, upon some concrete and isolated zones of these districts it agrees not to neglect the camera or the purse and to take good care of them. Taking a minimum of precaution from the possible presence of pickpockets, a walk in the districts of the old city is almost obligated in your visit to Barcelona. The centennial buildings, the street musicians and artists in the Cathedral Square, the old shops where you can find unimaginable objects, the spotted side streets... everything has a special charm.
As a curiosity, take a look at the plate right at the entrance of some narrow streets, in which the image of a person next to a car thrown by a horse indicates with the hand the sense in which it was allowed to circulate along that alley. Those were the traffic signals of our ancestors!
